We made it!

After 4 days of driving across the country, we made it to San Diego. ("We" = me and a friend.) Christina and the girls flew out a few days later, to complete the migration.

San Diego is AWESOME. We miss our friends and family, but the weather helps to ease the pain. It's January and we're outside in shorts and t-shirts... I now have year-round mountain biking weather and I'm taking up surfing (thanks to everyone that chipped in for my Christmas present)! Christina has already been to the beach 4-or-so times and is loving every minute of it. It goers without saying that the kids are also having a blast at the beach... (Elena has a new staple food - sand.)

The church has welcomed us with open arms. We're being invited to meals with nearly everyone we meet. It's so nice to move to a new place and have a community that we can immediately jump into like this. What a blessing!

We miss you all! (...even though it doesn't look like it!) :-)
